The Promenade Plantée, also known as the Coulée verte René-Dumont, is an elevated walkway starts just east of the Opéra Bastille, a couple of kilometres east of Notre-Dame. It’s pretty accessible and very interesting, although you need a bit of time since it is nearly 5 ks long. Some of it runs past buildings but there are also some great views.
