Paris, the bridge of love (pont neuf).
This wonky walk bridge had wire sides which became festooned with “lover’s padlocks”. They became do so heavy (many tonnes) that the city removed them before the bridge collapsed.
They replaced sides with panels instead of wire to prevent repeats. Slight pity as young french people (and travellers) love to picnic/hang out sitting on the bridge surface of an evening. Now you can’t see the river as you sit. Still pleasant though.
Access to the. Ridge is by bumpy ramps. The bridge surface is bumpy timber but not too bad.
