San Michele in Foro is a lovely romanesque church in the heart of Lucca.
It rests in a relaxing piazza, although there are many tourists.
Sometimes there is a market here. Saturday maybe.
Access is up a ramp on the left hand side, after accessing the terrace at the front.
The main attraction is the incredible marble facade.
Imagine climbing the perilous steps at the back of the facade!
