We stumbled upon this amusing spot one sunny afternoon in Lucca as we wandered along the wall. It’s at the back, just west of the souther gate of Porta San Pietro.
The entrance at the left has one step as you can see in the pix, which necessitated my ramp on the way in.
Ristorante Antico Caffè della Mura has a pleasant grassy area with room to wander.
You can get apertivi but the choice was limited.
There is a free buffet of sorts up a step.
There are dining tables outside and inside. We didn’t eat here. It looks average.
I recommend this for a pleasant half an hour at dusk on a summers day, or perhaps for your wedding.
