The Novotel Waterloo is just across the road from the Archbishop of Canterbury’s London residence. It’s a pretty good spot although slightly rundown. It’s about 500 m walk to Waterloo station and about 1.5 K to the London eye along the river. You can crossover Lambeth Bridge and walked along towards Westminster and Big Ben as well. The hotel was a bit rough and accessible room was not in a great spot. It’s pretty common with older hotels to put the accessible rooms in the worst spot in the hotel, looking on a wall or overlooking the car park. The shower is often an afterthought, with a plastic contraption plonked in the corner, usually too small for a shower wheelchair to fit properly. Let’s hope they have redone it properly in the last 10 years.
