Covent garden is a market and shopping complex in the heart of London. There are steps all around the central market but ramps here and there. Â Cobblestones abound. There is often a string quartet playing downstairs in the centre and occasionally some good buskers. Jaime Oliver has one of his “homeless” restaurants there too.
There is a large Apple shop is on the north side if that’s your thing. I saw a queue of hundreds waiting until midnight to get their Crapple 7 the other night. I told a fanboy complaining to a security guard to by a Samsung and we all had a laugh at this silly suggestion (especially now after the exploding Samsung Note debacle)..
The wonderful London transport museum is on the south-east corner.
The Covent Garden Opera house is just nearby, as is the LSE in Drury Lane.
Our favourite local pub is the White Lion. It has a great selection of gin.
There is a short, steep ramp at the door but it’s usually not to hard to find a table.
