We stayed at Penquite Farm, just on the outskirts of Golant.
This cute town is on the River Fowey in Cornwall, England.
Golant is small and steep. It’s just upstream from Fowey, but rarely visited by tourists.
The pub is pleasant, with some local ales on tap.
The most interesting thing was the river, which rises above the lower road at high tide.
Be careful where you park your car!
Oh, the railway no longer runs here, I believe.
There is an apparently lovely but inaccessible walking track from here to Fowey, about 5 km long.
