There are a few wheelchair accessible apartments around Sydney, of variable size, price and quality. We stayed at the Sydney Waldorf in Chippendale, near Central Station, in 2011. The location is quite good for Surrey Hills, the fish market et cetera, and central station can get you pretty much anywhere.

This joint was a bit rough and ready but not too bad. Room beside the bed was a bit tight but we got by. There’s a bit of a step into the bathroom as you can see in the pic. The bathroom is pretty agricultural but functional. There is a balcony but the door is too narrow for wheelchairs from memory.

There is an accessible rooftop area which is quite nice although the pool and spa are up a few steps.

Overall the place is a bit grungy but okay if you are visiting relos or such. The area is a bit rundown but felt safe enough although I’m not much of a fraidy cat.
