We stayed at the Canberra Novotel in 2011 for a few days. It was quite comfortable and the location was good, especially if you want to go to ANU. There is an extensive shopping precinct half a kilometre East. Like most of Canberra, wheelchair access is good (outside at least). Bathroom access was good. It looks as if it’s had quite a makeover since then, so hopefully things are even more comfortable. I seem to remember there was an inaccessible balcony but if so this is pretty normal for an “accessible”room.
