This lovely village is perched above vibrant ochre cliffs in Provence about an hours drive East of Avignon.
We have stayed nearby three or four times in an accessible gîte.
It is a 1 km walk up the road to the town. Parking is a bit tight in the when lots of tourists turn up. There is a disabled spot in the small car park at the start of town. Up the hill towards the “Ochre trail” there are a couple more. They have no shade and the hill is steep but they are usually available for wheelies.

The Ochre trail or “Le Sentier des Ocres” is to quote Google “2 marked paths through a colourful zone of red & yellow cliffs in a disused ocher pigment quarry.” See my separate post re access.

The streets up to the top lookout are pretty steep but the streets have few cobbles.

There are a couple of nice accessible cafés about too.

Down the hill is a hotel with an accessible room called Hôtel Les Sables d’Ocre.
We have booked it about three times but always ended up staying elsewhere, usually because we prefer a gîte with a kitchen.

There is also a good ochre museum nearby called Ôkhra Conservatoire des Ocres.

Roussillon is a good base for visits (by car) to a few surrounding hill towns.

There is a small but pleasant market in town on Thursday mornings.
